Snowball

Snowball is doing great!! She is all settled in and loving all the attention she is getting!!

Donovan

Abby, our last cat, died in February. She & her brother Ziggy (2006-2021) were great kitties & we were crushed losing them both. We were hesitant to get another cat but it was only a matter of time.

In November, during our last RV trip, we met a couple who traveled with their kitty.  That lit  the fire to find a kitty to enjoy our travels.  We knew it couldn’t be a kitten (we’re too old for that) so started our search for an older cat that didn’t look like any of our prior cats.  That’s when i found Donovan on Petfinder. He sounded purrfect.  We quickly contacted Hart2Heart & within a week - we were approved to adopt & went and met Donovan & his foster parents.

He was a little aloof but you could see that he was a laid back cat. We took him home & the rest is history. He has wormed his way into ours hearts & within a week he had the run of the house & was sleeping with us.  Fortunately, he is food motivated,  so anytime we can’t find him, we just go into the kitchen & he’s there.

We are looking forward to gradually, over the winter, introducing him to our RV to get him ready for some new adventures come spring.  Donovan’s Travels.

Sadie

Things are going well! Sadie is adjusted and we have started the process of introducing her to Avi and Kitty, but that will take more time. Thank you for her paperwork. We would love to be in the article! Here's our story written by Joe:

We will never forget the day we first saw Sadie. It was a sunny fall afternoon. We were doing our routine Sunday grocery trip to Giant when we noticed Pet Supplies Plus next door, so we decided to check out the inside. As soon as we walked in, we laid eyes on Sadie (aka Venus), and we were immediately taken with her. We stayed in the store for about a half hour interacting with her, and we were enchanted by her sweet nature; so enchanted that we asked the store employee to take her out of the cage to hold and snuggle her.

After we left the grocery store, we continued on to our routine grocery trip to Giant. While in Giant, a feeling overcame us and we decided to spontaneously fill out the application for Sadie. We didn't think we'd get picked, so we thought, "why not apply?"

As time went on, we eagerly waited for that phone call to seal the deal with Sadie. Finally, we received the phone call, and we were overcome with joy. Sadie has settled into our home and we are fortunate to have such a sweet, loving, and affectionate cat in our family.

Waffles

Good evening and happy holidays! I wanted to let you know how Waffles is doing. Since we got her in June 2023, we have been following her lead and working with her during this time. It has been a process.
As the year comes to a close, Waffles is now fully acclimated to the entire house and is still learning the “kitty politics” but nothing horrible - some growling, hissing and chasing - but that is subsiding as time passes.
Waffles decided in early December to come down to the main floor and stay down here with everyone. She moves between all the floors in the house now like she’s always been here.
Her fave spots are the cradle on the bay window and the top of the fridge. She loves pets and the dot and has bonded quickly to Zanzibar. Whenever she goes to the vet for a nail trim, Zanzibar comes along and even the techs noticed she’s not as stressed when he accompanies her.
She loves dry food, wet food, treats, cat nip, cookies, ham, chicken, cheese, pudding, rice, peas, chocolate milk (not reg milk), ribs, pork, bacon, pizza, toast, Chinese and Mexican food. Waffles is a true blue Tuxie with the food.
Waffles let’s me pick her up and hold her/carry her for 30-40 seconds, before her disdain begins, which is fine because that’s all I need to get her into a carrier to go to the vet.  She’s learning the schedule /routine of food, work and bath time - she’s loves water and loves to be in the bathroom when one of us showers.
She responds to her name and will follow me when I ask her - though not all the time as she is a cat .
