Meet Marmalade! This courageous little lady has shown a truly remarkable will to survive. When faced with the bitter cold in January 2026, Marmalade sought shelter the only way she knew how—by bravely venturing through a stranger’s basement and into their kitchen, searching for warmth and safety. Eventually, she climbed upstairs, where a young boy living in the house discovered her huddled and vulnerable. Weighing only 5 pounds, Marmalade was sick, covered in fleas, and clearly in desperate need of help, all alone in Hatboro, PA.

Fortunately, Marmalade’s story took a hopeful turn thanks to the loving care of Hart 2 Heart. With patience and dedication, her foster helped nurse her back to health, allowing Marmalade to regain her strength and spirit. Now, at 10-11 years old, and FIV+ she stands as a testament to resilience—a senior survivor cat with a gentle heart and a longing for a home that will cherish her. Marmalade has endured so much and is ready for her golden years to be filled with comfort and kindness. Do you have room in your heart and home to ensure she never knows misery again? Your loving care could give Marmalade a golden life, filled with warmth, affection, and the dignity she so deserves as she enjoys the rest of her days surrounded by love.

She would be well-suited to a home environment with or without other cats, provided that the resident cats are gentle in temperament and are at least six years of age or older. Her compatibility with such companions ensures a harmonious and comfortable living arrangement, fostering a peaceful atmosphere where she can thrive. Care should be taken to introduce her gradually to any feline housemates, allowing ample time for adjustment and mutual acclimatization.
